About

Entrepreneurs, economists, and urbanist thinkers join forces to discuss the actions, effects, and impacts of Startup methodology for cities.

Join the conversation!

We are happy to welcome Brad Hargreaves, CEO & Founder of Common | Co-Founder of General Assembly, to the next installation of the Startup Cities event series. The event format will be a fireside chat and networking session.

The majority of humans live in urban areas, and billions more will in the coming decades. The only way to prepare for this massive shift is to create new cities and innovate existing ones. We are hosting an event to champion ideas of treating cities just like startups. Join us to chat about entrepreneurship, urbanism, and decentralization. We hope to demystify the concepts of starting new types of societies.

About

Startup Societies Foundation

The startup societies foundation is a global organization which exists to promote the creation of new societies. There are currently hundreds of groups in the process of building the nations of tomorrow. These include special economic zones, private cities, micro-nations, communes, and more. New societies can be built more dynamically, and more efficiently than existing ones. Our foundation examines the questions these new societies will face. Topics include economics, infrastructure, politics, foreign policy, and, most importantly, technology.

ABOUT

The kairos society

Kairos Society finds the most promising young entrepreneurial talent and startups from around the world through a unique, global network of local leaders, and connects them to each other, industry influencers, and potential funders.

Kairos Society partners with angel investors and venture capitalists to give them direct access to an exceptional selection of startups from around the world. From up-and-coming leadership and technical talent, to founders with businesses that are ready to go to market, our network of Fellows and K50 companies are the world’s premier community of young founders.

ABOUT

STARTUP SOCIETIES FOUNDATION

The Startup Societies Foundation studies, promotes, and connects startup societies. A startup society is any new or experimental society located in a small geographical area. Our ultimate goal is to advocate for a vibrant and global industry of innovative communities through international conferences, digital content, and academic research.
